Summer Gold Dairy Pellets are designed as a moderately high protein supplement for cows fed low protein summer pasture or a diet with a high proportion of low protein forages (e.g. summer turnips). A variety of protein sources have been selected to achieve the 19% crude protein level in the feed. High quality grains ensure palatability, while the addition of macro and trace minerals ensures that the mineral requirement of the cow are met.

Recommended Feeding Rate

• Typically fed at 2kg per head per day, this feed can be fed at up to 4kg per head per day.
• This product is designed to be fed through an in-shed feeding system (or similar) where intakes per cow can be controlled.
• Exercise caution if high levels of other starchy feeds (e.g. summer turnips) are being fed at the same time.

When fed at 2kgs per cow per day this diet provides:

• 16.5g of calcium (equivalent to 50g of limestone)
• 19g of magnesium (equivalent to 36g of magnesium oxide)
• 7.6g of sodium (equivalent to 20g of salt)
• 500mg zinc, 150mg manganese, 200mg copper, 6mg iodine, 5mg cobalt, 4mg selenium, vitamins A, D3 and E.
